The international day of Italian cuisine: tiramisu

On January 17, 2013 thousands of chefs and lovers of Italian food from all over the world celebrated the International Day of Italian Cuisine (IDIC) for the sixth year in a row. The tradition was launched by itchefs-GVCI (Virtual Group of Italian Chefs), association of professionals working in the Italian cuisine industry outside Italy. The aim of IDIC is a worldwide protecting of authentic and quality Italian cuisine. The IDIC 2013 official dish was tiramisu, very popular dolce italiano in the world.

17 января 2013 года во всем мире отмечался шестой по счету Международный День Итальянской Кухни (the International Day of Italian Cuisines, IDIC). Эта традиция была заложена ассоциацией итальянских поваров, работающих за границей (itchefs-GVCI). Главная задача праздника заключается в поддержании качественной итальянской кухни. Блюдом IDIC в 2013 году стало тирамису – один из самых известных итальянский десертов.

The Reichstag Building is а historical construction in Berlin which houses Bundestag (supreme constitutional organ of the Federal Republic of Germany). Nowadays, the Bundestag is the world’s most-visited parliament. Why so? Reichstag dome with its observation deck definitely played an important role in this worldwide recognition.

Young and popular in the USA Hotel Indigo continues to expand in Europe, as well. The proof of this fact is Hotel Indigo Berlin – Centre Alexanderplatz. It is the second hotel of this chain in Germany after Berlin Ku'damm (as per 2012). 

 

Молодая и получившая широкое распространение в США, сеть отелей Hotel Indigo с каждым годом активнее продолжает свое развитие и в Европе. Тому доказательство – новая гостиница Hotel Indigo Berlin – Centre Alexanderplatz. Таким образом, это уже второй отель сети в Германии после Berlin – Ku'damm (на 2012 год).

TOHOLOGY visited Michael W. Pleitgen’s lecture dedicated to wine tasting. Michael Pleitgen has been working in wine industry for 35 years; he is the founder and owner of Weinakademie Berlin. Since this year Mr. Pleitgen also teaches at the hospitality business school SWISSAM.

TOHOLOGY посетил открытый урок Майкла Пляйтгена, посвященный введению в курс по дегустации вин. Майкл Пляйтген имеет 35-летний опыт работы в индустрии вина в различных винодельческих компаниях, является основателем и владельцем Weinakademie Berlin, а также ведет курсы по винам и напиткам в бизнес-школе SWISSAM.

All cities were built differently: there are ones like Venice and Saint-Petersburg that “emerged” from water and ones like Rome, which was built on hills. Probably that is why there are so many stairs in the Eternal City, leading to the hill summits, which uncover truly amazing views.

Master class: Chef Bruno Coletti – "the Italian Christmas"

On the first December's Tuesday TOHOLOGY visited the master class of Italian chef Bruno Coletti. Mr. Coletti worked as a chef in the hotel in Florence, as a teacher in Venice and also was involved in opening of the restaurant in Moscow. Nowadays Bruno Colleti works in restaurant business consulting. For lovers of Italian cuisine Mr. Coletti held a master class "the Italian Christmas" in the business school SWISSAM.

В первый декабрьский вторник TOHOLOGY посетил мастер-класс итальянского шеф-повара Бруно Колетти (Bruno Coletti). В разные годы г-н Колетти работал в отеле во Флоренции, преподавал в Венеции, затем открывал ресторан в Москве. Сейчас Бруно Колетти активно занимается консалтинговыми услугами в ресторанном бизнесе. Специально для любителей итальянской кухни г-н Коллетти провел в бизнес-школе SWISSAM мастер-класс на тему «итальянское рождество».
